The trail to the Grey Lookout is situated on the western side of the “W” circuit, traversing the slopes of Mount Paine Grande after a 30-minute boat journey across Lake Pehoe from the Pudeto Sector. Initially, we traverse a basin of sedimentary rock through a relatively flat trail until reaching the western face of Paine Grande.

This breathtaking vantage point offers a panoramic view of Lake Grey and its majestic glacier in the distance. From the lookout, visitors can truly experience the raw and untamed power of nature in Southern Patagonia.

At times, the trail offers views of icebergs drifting across the lake, accompanied by the distinctive chill of Patagonian winds. After completing the hike, guests will wait at the Paine Grande refuge for a minimum of 1 hour and 30 minutes before the earliest afternoon arrival of the catamaran for the return journey across Lake Pehoé.
We provide travelers with trekking poles, helmets and give them a reusable water bottle.
